Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior CNC Machinist to be part of our team in delivering precision-manufactured components. Your expertise in MasterCAM and/or GibbsCAM will be essential in creating advanced CNC programs, while your experience will drive process optimization, quality control, and team development. This is an exciting role for an experienced machinist who wants to be part of a skilled team and work with advanced multi-axis CNC machines.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Create CNC programming and operations on multi-axis, multi-tasking CNC machines, using MasterCAM and/or GibbsCAM to create and optimize complex CNC programs.
  • Oversee complex machine setups, tool selection, and fixture installations to achieve precision machining.
  • Troubleshoot advanced machining issues and mentor junior machinists on best practices and optimization techniques.
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure precise, high-quality component manufacturing.
  • Undertake quality control inspections using precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborate with the production team to identify process improvements, enhance efficiency, and meet production goals.
  • Maintain a clean and safe shop environment, ensuring compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations and company safety standards.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Red Seal CNC Machinist Certification is a strong asset
  • 7+ years of experience in CNC machining, with significant experience on multi-axis machines. All Fanuc based controls.
  • Advanced proficiency in MasterCAM and/or GibbsCAM programming software.
  • Strong knowledge of machining materials, cutting tools, and multi-axis CNC operations.
  • Experience in mentoring junior machinists and drive process improvements.
  • Familiarity with CMM and GD+T is a strong asset.
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to producing parts within tight tolerances.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to optimizing production processes.
